The recent ice storm broke the HF antenna and today January 12, 2008 Larry, KD5MAF and myself reinstalled it.

As soon as we installed it, we turned on the HF radio and made contacts with South Carolina, St. Louis, Tacoma, California, Cuba, among others. I think the antenna is working perfectly. I received some good reports on the signal from many. I am very pleased that it tunes up great on 10, 12, 15, 17, 20, 40, 80 meter bands with ease. The top of the HF antenna where the pole comes off the left is 50 feet above the ground.

HomeBrew Rotor Controller project got new Tripot and FUNcube Dongle worked with Orbitron using DDE. I modified the DDE base code from CX6DD and added the Function to control FCD-IO.DLL for Funcube Dongle SDR that received the Download Doppler from Orbitron Directly, I like Orbitron because it ‘s free and easy to use and can modified DDE, I did try WZTRACK but it seem not the full version that I have to pa for the Register, So that why I stick with ORBITRON for a while and happy with it. — I was be able to control ROROR with my Own Rotor that I build from nothing, I can buy the Yaesu which work the same way but it seems that not cool enough that always buy for the HAm gear then I build from the piece of aluminum in Machine shop so that it looked so cool,. aso very high precision too!!!!.. ENJOY and Thank you to watch my video, I almost finish my arduino Rotor controler which more cool than this.

Chameleon V1 HF antenna on the mobile

Here is the Chameleon V1 HF antenna on my car. Talking to South Carolina,1000 miles on 60 watts. I thought it might be to flexible to go mobile with but after reading the manufacturers comment (ChameleonWalker) I shall try it out and highway speeds which are 65-75 mph and see what happens.

Arrow Antenna Az/El Computer Controlled Mount

This is my first attempt at doing this setup. Antenna is controlled by a Parallax Servo Controller and Hi-Tec Servos commanded by the Orbitron Satellite Tracking program as well as some software glue to make it all talk to each other. The only note I had myself was that the servos and mount could be improved but it does track accurately and it does work. This finishes 2 years of off/on work. This video shows me, OZ9AEC, testing the Arrow Antenna shortly after I have received it using the AO-27 amateur radio satellite. I was using my Yaesu FT-817ND transceiver.
