This is the 5x5w solar array I used during FD 2001. No, in this picture they are not out in the sun. There were too many trees around the area and they did not really get any sun at all until the next morning. Not that I needed them though – the 17 Ah and 7 Ah gelcells provided more than enough current. I just had these there as backup really.

Gunter’s Space Page has reported that the Es’hail 2 communications satellite will carry analog and digital Amateur Radio transponders.
