I have my first rig the Kenwood TM-V71A, and the MFJ 25 amp mightylite power supply. I have been working 2m and 70cm. So far i have had a bunch of fun. I want to work vhf and uhf using a satellite. I am currently studying to take the general test, so i can get an Hf rig. I cant wait to talk on Hf so i am studying hard. — 73 de KE5RLZ

Your video brings back that magical thrill I got using my first rig. Doesn’t seem very long ago! But it was 1990 I think. for me it was a barrowed HW16 HF/CW rig and an Alinco dual band mobile. I’d love to relive those days again anew!

Good luck! It’s a great hobby, been active since I was 13, back in 1970.

Can you suggest a study guide for a US technician license?
So would you say that the 25 amp power supply is more than sufficient for that radio? Whats the continuous amp power needed for that mobile rig? 73’s. N3NQP
