We had more outside tailgaters/venders then last year and I think that we had more people to attend. We had inside venders that were regulars and also some new ones, I would like to thank them for coming. There was everything from tube boat anchors to modern surface mount radios, and also from antennas to zener diodes. People were having fun buying what they needed and what they didn’t need. I bought a new sound card interface from Tigertronics for my exploration into the digital modes on HF, and some PL-259’s, a couple of M connectors and I guess some other small stuff. Hope to see everybody there next year. Well, due to family commitments, I was not able to follow up with last years success with Field Day, however, I did manage to squeeze in a few Qs and give away some points. What you see here is my Icom IC-703+, the matching AH-703 (4 foot) whip antenna, which is connect to the back of the 703 using a 90 degree PL to SO-239 adaptor. You will also notice that I have 2 lengths of 15 foot long wires attached to the ground nut on the rig which are being used as a counter poise. The location was the main floor living room of my home. I was also using battery power with an average RF output of about 7 WATTS… Can you believe that I made contacts fairly easily with this set up IN DOORS?
