Whatever the circumstances; Hurricane Katrina, collapse of World Trade Towers, Tsunami’s, you name it, no exaggeration, HAM radio has consistently been there to bridge the gaps in communications for Red Cross, Local Government or phone calls for civilians like what you hear here. HAM radio is not just your grandfathers hobby. Thanks to all the Amateur Radio operators that have been facilitating all the calls to allow as many as possible to get in touch with loved ones anywhere in the world.

Stuff like this Ham Radio in Haiti video clip makes me both proud and humble to be a licensed Amateur Radio operator. This is where Amateur Radio shines, and can still help people where infrastructure has been destroyed. Bravo! es 73, de VK2DMMH.

Terrific connection K3VR! I always said over and over to a lot of people that when cell phones, computers, landlines, and all other communication fails, amateur radio operators will always be there to help. This is a wake up reality call to everyone that amateur radio is there to serve them when needed by phone or cw. I tip my hat to you and thanks for your help. Harold K8ESE

Fantastic work. Ham Radio is the Last resort that works when all else fails. You better believe that after any major disaster all systems fail, Ham Radio and Satellite phones are the only thing that work.
