@HedgehogOutdoors they use radio direction finding and can pin point you… like tracing a phone call, the longer you talk the closer they can come in to your vacinity….

@SoCalPreppers It is illegal to TX on a non-HAM channel with a part 97 (amateur radio) unless you are part of the Military Affiliated Radio Service or civil air patrol organization with their permission. Emergency cases like imminent death or loss of property, all bets are off and transmit away. Dont know the exact FCC rules but its there in the rule book when it comes to emergencies. Part 90 radios are the PD,FD,EMS services and business. Nice detailed vid, got a VX7, too much $ for the 8.

My friend does this kind of work at home. Only guy who could fix the pot to my OLD Peavey effects unit. He has a Bi scope kind of thing, like a doctors tool. Stereo Microscope mounted adjustable bench arm for adjusting over the table. Great work man. F-16 Jet ring testing and development.

@SoCalPreppers I wish you well. We had a guy do the MARS / CAP on a YASEU and had to send it in. ,He replaced the SMT part on the board, but they declined the warranty claim. He disputed and when he talked to the Warranty Manager they told him that MARS/CAP Mods are the first thing we look for. People overheat adjacent components or short connections out all the time. So we have gotten wise” End Quote So if you gotta put it back, I hope you can solder like a Robot .Lets hope its not needed!

Socal, I certainly hope that you of all guys doesnt have to find out. I must say again, you take advice and comment better then most anyone on You Tube. I commend you for that. So many go “insta-defensive” like they are less a man bevcause they didnt know something, or were slightly off base. You NEVER act like that. And for that Sir, I do commend you. BTW BIG kudos for going straight to EXTRA, WELL DONE.. Now back to working on my M17 Med Bag, wonder where I got some ideas on that project from?
