BIG (FTDX9000) does not necessarily means better… The size is not always
reflecting the technology involved. The “smaller” FTDX5000 is better than
the “old” beefy FTDX9000D… So, it is not strange to me that your new
FTDX3000 is maybe better than a 10 years old technology rig even if your
actual rig is smaller ! 😉 Smaller does mean anything here. 73, Eric.

it’s just the FT5000s’ little brother: same main rx, no second rx, half the
power output (100w), no DC power supply. But I do not agree the price: 3000
euros are much money, too much for this box. For the same money You can buy
the FT2000D, two receivers, 200w, power supply included.

Not really, I buy and sell them quite often. Its a hobby so I don’t mind
the financial losses one makes changing equipment from time to time, it’s
within my means for sure 🙂

I believe they are on the brochure. I downsized my shack as I am in the
process of moving QTH so I don’t have this setup any more.
