Demonstrating some of the CW features that differ from the Icom 706. I forgot to include the CW pitch adjustment. It It differs from the 706 in that it’s not a linear adjustment. The options are 400, 500, 600, 700 or 800 hz. I like it about 500 and that’s where it’s set in the video. This radio will transmit a very loud rushing air sound when you key the mic in SSB. I was getting reports that my snap on choke helped and engaging the DSP filters seemed to take most of it out. I used a monitor radio the other day and it’s still pretty bad. I’m going to call Yaesu about it because it’s REALLY BAD! I also put a RF choke on the HF feedline into the back of the radio and that didn’t help at all. PS, I was wrong about the CW Auto feature.
