On October 8, 2006, thought-leaders in the education space from around the globe will gather online for Global Learn Day X, a celebration of innovation in the field of education.

Global Learn Day is the Earth Day of learning around the globe. In its 10th year, Global Learn Day brings together speakers from around the globe online to address how they are improving access to education in their part of the world. Starting in the South Pacific, where the planet begins the new day, the event voyages west to Hawaii, a long way around the world. Along the way the event will feature truly exceptional people from all 24 time zones who patch in via telephone; Skype; voice-over-IP, streaming audio, streaming video, text chat, ham radio, and conventional radio, all downloaded to people’s desktops or telephones.
