Whatever you do, dont buy it off of amazon! Thats a complete rip off for
the FT-60. HRO short for Ham Radio Outlet, is the best price around. Also,
for more information on the radio, dont go to yaeus’s page, they seem to
not have the best description ironically, Universal radio had the best
descriptions around, and Eham for reviews. I have an FT-50, and looking to
upgrade, may go the VX-6r route instead though. FT-50 and the 60 are mostly
    the same. Good vid!

“Is it cool? No, its not cool.” Lmao. That is the funniest comment I’ve
heard on YouTube. Thanks for the vid. I got the same radio and love it so
far. Does that antenna make a noticeable difference?

Follow the manual, yaesu makes them really straight forward, but even i,
and most people like to look for other help before going to the manual.
    Good luck.

Greetings from a new license holder. Haven’t done anything with it yet, but
went to a meeting of the San Fernando Valley Amateur Radio Club last night
and am gathering info on first purchase. I have my eye on the FT-60 after a
couple of the members recommended this. Mainly I am interested in emergency
and SHTF comm. I appreciate your video. And I have been to Cerritos a few
times. Beautiful community. Deathly beautiful State but have the worst,
most corrupt officials running it. But that’s another story. 73. KJ6VUP

Ignore the negative commentators… I have the same radio as my first rig
too. It’s a nice radio and easy to set up for repeater use. 73s to you.

Baofeng $32 bucks. Amazon. As far as simplicity, how does the FT compare to
the baofeng? Like I said, simple is good. Lol

Yes they can take it away…..do you keep up with the ARRL and how the
government is always trying to snag our Ham Freqs for more cell phone
    idiots… 😉 73 to ya.

Hello. Great video. I am also very new to this. I need a radio for my BOB.
SOMETHING FOR EMERGENCIES. And to mess around I guess to get familiar. I
was looking at the baofeng radios. Seems very complicated. Please help.

Nice REAL vid!! I have the radio and love it. It does what its supposed to
do. But there are always gonna be TECH heads that just want more options
that they’ll never use.. Lets put it this way, when the SHTF and HAM is the
only communication, I want the most simplest, durable, trusted HT radio I
    can find..
