Noted DXer Gordon Leland, KU4EC, died unexpectedly July 25. He was 70. First licensed in 1959 as KN1QCQ while living in Seal Harbor, Maine, he upgraded to General to become K1QCQ, but later let his license lapse. In 1997 he got back into ham radio and became KU4EC.
