TelescopeMan describes WHY ham radio is for Geeks! It’s not just talking to someone on the radio. The hobby has many modes that would appeal to the computer geek inside many of us. Plus it’s a continuing learning experience suitable for all age groups.

Some of the terms used in the video were-
QSO – a conversation between two hams.

Signalink – digital sound card device for digital also Rigblaster another
    brand name

Propagation – how well and where the radio signals are traveling through
    the atmosphere.

SDR – Software Defined Radio like the Flex radio and other brands.

JT65 and PSK31 – two digital modes there are dozens of others.

Bands – all those “meter” names you cannot remember like 20 meters or 10
meters. The ARRL has a band chart you can download and print.

CW – Morse Code – Ham Radio Deluxe can translate CW in real time.

Ham Radio Deluxe – ham radio software used to control a radio and to decode
certain digital modes. It does LOTS more than just this. Version 5.x is
    free; version 6.x is paid.

CQ – “Seek You”, “I am looking for you”.

QRZ.COM – you can keep a log here and also look up other hams using their
    call sign.

FLdigi- free software to decode PSK31, and JT65 HF, free software to decode
    JT65 digital signals.

    Tropospheric Propagation- (ducting) –
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tropospheric_propagation

Panadapter- that pretty screen on the computer showing all the radio
    signals

Waterfall- those pretty signals flowing DOWN the computer screen like a
    waterfall.

73 – means “best wishes” or “best regards” used in CW and digital and voice
    contacts.

ARRL – a national amateur radio “association” you can join at arrl.org
    The American Radio Relay League

    So ……… 73 to you.

Worst game ever for me was probably Too Human for the Xbox 360, but I’m
sure that there is way more worse games out there. The Three Dog news seems
kind of repetitive, but I think he feeds on the attention too much. Don’t
really think it is worth it to go out of my way to try and figure out what
he means in his tweets, but he could potentially be a voice actor for
    Fallout 4.

With BGS hiring a multiplayer designer, I am definitely on the border about
that. I don’t like the idea of having PvP type multiplayer, but I am open
to a Co-Op mode/campaign. Now with a Co-Op mode, I think that it should be
separated from the main campaign, and have the Single player be untouched
by it. Similar to how Portal 2 works, with the main campaign being single
player, and a separate co-op campaign.

I personally don’t like watching speed runs, but definitely respect those
who do it. It takes a massive amount of skill to remember the placement and
perfect your movements for the glitch to even work.

For a Fallout or Elder Scrolls highlight, don’t really have any that are
recent or as interesting as your guys’ highlights. I do however remember
having a little laugh at the AntAgonizer and The Mechanist quest line. It
was super silly, but I really enjoyed it. Also, I did not know there was a
secret openable rock in Megaton, (pun incoming) have I been living under a
    rock?!

The Mothership Zeta DLC was fun to play, but it definitely ruins the
“Fallout” experience. I did not know that they put lore into it though, and
I really hope it isn’t cannon. There is no way that I will believe that the
Great War was caused by aliens.

The remasters are getting way too ridiculous, and it is a ridiculous way to
get money. I feel like they should avoid remastering games unless it has
been 8 or more years since its release. A game I think they should remaster
though is Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. Love the original Crystal
Chronicles for GameCube, but don’t think Nintendo will do remasters.

For future Fallout locations, I want to see Colorado, because of the
diverse landscapes and areas. Not very fond of any southern U.S. location,
because after experiencing the Point Lookout DLC, I thought that was enough
swampland to deal with in a Fallout game. It’s highly improbable that a new
location will be in another country, mainly because Fallout’s website
specifically states, “America’s First Choice in Post Nuclear Simulation.”
Another idea for a Fallout location would be Washington state. You could
have a dlc be placed in Canada, which was technically annexed by the U.S.
in the Fallout world, and I think it could be cool to experience some lore
from that perspective. You could also have a dlc be placed in Alaska, where
you could find out all that happened there before the bombs dropped, and
maybe find that the Chinese still have outposts there.

Sorry if this is really long, but just wanted to state my thoughts about
the important topics you guys mentioned. ^_^

I hadn’t heard about BGS hiring someone with multiplayer experience. I
have enjoyed ME3 and DAI’s multiplayer modes. Actually ended up playing
more multiplayer in both of those games rather than single player even
though I bought both games for the single player.

I downloaded a nudity mod for Skyrim…. NOW LET ME EXPLAIN!

I found a good skin texture for males, high resolution, gritty, had a
realistic feel to it. However the mod was for males ONLY so of course it
was up to me to find a high resolution, gritty looking skin texture for
females… proved harder than I would like to admit. At the end of the day
my choice was to either have females looking like they came from fucking
Skyrim’s Next Top Model or to have them naked when you remove their armor.
Small price to pay seeing how I like to stick to one set of armor for
    prolonged periods of time.
