SchmartBoard, the developer of a new technology that has significantly simplified the creation of electronic circuits for hobbyists and electronic engineers, announced today the First Annual Schmartie Awards to reward exceptional electronic circuit design.

Engineers, students and hobbyists from around the world are invited to enter the first annual Schmartie awards. From now through November 15th, entrants can post SchmartScematics (electronic circuits utilizing SchmartBoard prototyping products) for users to download and use in their own projects. In December, we will open up voting for the five favorite circuits. All registered user will be able to vote.

In January 2007 we will post the five winners who will receive an iPod Nano and a certificate. All participants who enter the contest and post a schematic per the instructions will receive free SchmartBoards to build their schematics and a SchmartBoard t-shirt. There were too many trees around the area and they did not really get any sun at all until the next morning. Martha “Marte” Wessel, K0EPE, of Liberal, Kansas, died September 23. She was 89. Her husband Walter “Pete” Wessel, W0CM, died 6 days later on September 29 at age 101. Both were ARRL members.
