Innovative Integration Announces the Digital Receiver Instrumentation Series
Simi Valley, California (PRWEB) March 05, 2014
Innovative Integration, a trusted supplier of signal processing and data acquisition hardware and software solutions, today announced the Digital Receiver Instrumentation Series, turnkey solutions providing integrated digital downconversion (DDC), FFT, spectrum monitoring, and digital beam-forming functions. The solutions consists of three parts: An FPGA-based analog digitizer module, a PC-based host controller plus an optional firmware development kit to allow customization.
The digitizer module is provided with software examples and C++ API, plus pre-compiled firmware bit image and a comprehensive manual. The module may be installed onto an XMC-PCIe adapter to allow use within a conventional PC. Alternately, it can be used within Innovative’s Andale Data Recorders to capture extremely long time sequences. Or, the module may be installed within an Innovative ePC or VPXI-ePC embedded computer to create a miniature, self-contained instrument. Regardless, the application software may be used to capture and analyze the data immediately – a turnkey solution.
First in the series is 90401 Digital Receiver with Eight Independent DDC Channels and One 32K FFT, a great solution for Digital Receiver/Recording, Spectrum Analysis, Surveillance, or Software Defined Radio. A development kit is available to support creation of advanced custom firmware.
Features:

Synchronous VITA 49 timestamp using external PPS signal or internal 1 second timer
Embedded power meter for ADCs (dBFS)
32 digital-IO bits
PCI Express Gen 2: sustained transfer rate up-to 3200 Mbyte/s
Support synchronous down-sampling on multiple modules
DDC
Eight independent 16-bit DDC channels
DDC bandwidth: 50 MHz ~ 200 KHz
Independent tuner: DC ~ 125 MHz; resolution 0.0582 Hz at 250 MHz sampling rate
DDC outputs SNR > 55 dB; SFDR > 75 dB
DDC reprogramming, channel enable and disable on-the-fly
Spectrum inversion for ADC under-sampling
FFT
One wide-band/narrow-band spectrum analyzer (32768 Points FFT)
Threshold limited spectrum monitoring up-to 512 bins

Amateur Radio License in One Weekend
Marina del Rey, CA (PRWEB) September 23, 2009
Would you like to join an exciting group of dedicated people who offer assistance in times of disaster, provide communications in severe weather, and protect their community by talking directly with law enforcement?
How would it feel to be a member of a dedicated group of people ranging in ages from 8 through 85 who have been responsible for the leading communication inventions in the past 100 years, which includes: radio, TV, FAX, satellite, cell phones, and FTP protocol?
The California Yacht Club, located at 4469 Admiralty Way in the Marina Del Rey, is sponsoring its fifteenth annual Amateur radio license class on the weekend of October 10 and 11, 2009. This course is open to anyone who is interested in joining this exciting hobby. The class will begin on Saturday, October 10 at 9 A.M. and end on Sunday at 5 P.M. No background in electronics is needed and the California Yacht Club starts from the very first page. Students enrolled in the course can earn the Technician & General Amateur license in only two, exciting days.
The Amateur License opens the door to free e-mails while cruising, weather faxes from NOAA, and offers a free gateway to making new friends around the world. HAM radio includes everyone, beginning with a student interested in computers, educated professionals, and finally a house wife who passed the test for the reason of family protection.
The class will be taught by Charles Pascal, WB6CIY, a licensed amateur & certified teacher. Charlie has taught over 5,000 students in the past 25 years to pass the Amateur exam on the first attempt. Testing will be provided at the same location where the class was taught. The price for the class is $ 100 per license plus an additional $ 12 for the text book, which can be downloaded from http://www.myhamteacheronline.com .
Students who need the Technician license, the tuition will be $ 112. Please click here to download the book for the class. Students needing the General license should click here. The tuition for two classes, plus books is $ 224. Register for this class by e-mailing: radiopascal(at)earthlink(dot)net. Please click here for free sample tests. Call Charles Pascal at 310-714-0524 for additional information.
