I wanted to add that I have two of these and am very satisfied with both the build quality and the results. I can highly recommend this for a turnkey dual band solution.

    Cheers,

Whats the name of the music clip at the beginning and end? I know I’ve heard it before on our local high school network for football scores. Just wondering where I might find it cause it rocks.

According to the manufacturer grounding the antenna is not necessary. I have not grounded the antenna. Grounding should not affect performance, but may improve safety from a lightning standpoint.

The Antenna performed very well and is very sturdy. I even took it out of the roof for an outing in Central Park, which can be seen in another video. I recommend it. I still do not understand why the antenna does not short out.

Chiccojerry, I purchased the Arrow J Pole antenna directly from Arrow at:
arrow antennas dot com. I tried posting the link, but I get an “Error, try again” from YouTube. The antenna was inexpensive and easy to put together and take apart. I now use it when going portable.

You are either a bachelor or have a very understanding XYL! hii hi Nice little video and I find it interesting as to what you have to do to put up an antenna there! I have a homebrew version of that antenna made by a local ham club here and it works quite well. 73……
