Reuploaded due to YouTubes transcoder killing half the audio.

This is a video showing off the setup of my G5RV Jr 40-10m HF antenna which I bought from W8AMZ. It is mounted around 6 or 7m in the air and each end is tied off to the fence. The antenna tunes up well with the autotuner in the Icom IC-746 on the 40, 20, 15, and 10m bands. It’s a great antenna, well made and rather inexpensive. I highly recommend it.

To clarify something in the video, I have not made any contacts on 80m so I’m not sure how well it works on that band, although it tunes up fine with an external antenna tuner.

Nice Antenna, just try to separate a bit more from the mast, specially the
450ohm ladder. That’s the key with this antenna. i’ll try to post something
of my home made G5rv, it was about 10 bucks 🙂 and really easy to make.

Why isn’t your feed-line grounded? You should run it to a copper ground
plate from the antenna with a Polyphaser attached at the ground plate!
