jeez high noise floor…………..
It is quite a built up area, but in fairness I would have had the RF gain turned back a bit to keep the hiss down 🙂
great looking radio,ive a ft450d and a kenwood ts570dg and the 950 is next on my list….
could you recommend a good 10 meter only radio and what frequency i could listen on
Hi, there are quite a few 10m radios, but I haven’t used any since my CB days, so am completely out of touch. To listen, try 28.300 through 28.500 for lots of SSB calling.
Seen you do videos on this radio and the 3000. which do you recommend?
Definitely the 3000. The 950 is great but even with the AC0C filter mod, it doesn’t come close to the FTDX-3000.
thanks for info!
Difficult to see with the low light level, but it looks like the 950 has got the VFO dial upgrade kit on it ? If so, how do you find it over the standard VFO ?
Yes it does. It feels superb. Well worth the money & once you have had one, using a stock VFO dial feels weird.
