Video Rating: 5 / 5

It would be nice if the mic can plug into the back of the head unit, and also speakers on the head unit just like the 350 A/R.

yes it is a build in gps antenna, and it does have a plug for the external
gps. The hole is on the right side of the head unit.

I too miss the control head speaker. It is much more compact than the 350.
Yes, it has an external antenna jack; but shouldn’t be needed in most
cases. Seems to want to transmit APRS on wrong VFO. (?)

Any chance you have the hard copy of this… it is no longer on the
webernets, and go figure (in no small part due to this series) I just
    picked up a FT101b

I am sorry to say that I do not have any hard copy of this procedure. It
looks as if my video may have to stand on it’s own. I suppose I could
document the procedure. It really is simple and straightforward. If you
need me to help you with it, I could guide you via Skype.

I heard if you lick some parts of the inside it will make you tingle. At
least thats what Sam Adams told me. But hell he drank alot too so who knows.

Fine business and well done man. I’m guessing most or all FT 101 series are
the same or close. Obviously I will check the Fox Tango site before I try
this on my “E” but thanks for posting!

Hey when you aligned the TX and flipped the switch into MOX, am I correct
in thinking that you did this with no carrier as to not damage the radio?
Or would I need to have a dummy load to do this? My ft-101b I’ve got needs
an alignment and your video is a great “how-to”. Hopefully I’ll catch you
    on the air sometime!
