Sorry late reply, still well under the weather. Sure please do. There will
be another version soon here ( I wait the man to bring it ) this is the
same as this with 70cms on it. It felt cheap, was a good price but have
heard him on it and sounds a million $ so something must have been done
    right

I like the look of that. It has a much more contemporary look than the
classic FT-60 and other Yaesu Hand-held 2/70s. May I link to your review on
    NetRadioClub Forums please Simon?

Great review, I have been tempted by the simplicity and ruggedness of this
handie, can you share your thoughts now you have come to play with it a bit
(audio quality, build quality, lack of earphone jack etc….?)

I just got one this afternoon, 27/1/14 from Maplin, a good all round manual
but the down side is NO ear socket. But well made and put together. Reading
    the manual now.

Nice radio good signal reports. Excellent audio, unlike some of the Chinese
made radios. Simple keyboard is a plus and programming is fast. However,
belt clip is cheesy and best tossed in the trash.

Well I know you just got it but it’s a YAESU since there is NO SUCH THING
as a YEASU! Spelled just like on the FT-1000D LOL {:>)
