    Cliff,

Good to hear from you. I’m up for a sked one evening. I’m still slow, but getting a ‘little’ better. I can do 20, 30 and 40 meters with the antenna I have.

I love the 703+ great little rig and with the built in ATU makes for a really portable QRP solution. I am more of a Yaesu man, but can’t take anything away from the IC-703+

Thanks for watching…I really enjoy the IC-703, one day though, I would like to try the 817. Just not rich enough for all the rigs I want 🙂

Good video John, and it looks a straightforward installation – I suppose my 718 has a bit more room to move than the 703. Still making up my mind if I’ll do it myself though – my soldering skills are best on antenas and stuff thats not a disaster if you mess it up!

    all the best

    Scott,

Thanks for watching and for following along with the videos. The install was not especially difficult but there were some tedious moments when taking the boards out.

Otherwise, it’s a pretty straightforward installation..

I don’t want to be a douche – but try holding the camera a bit further back then zoom in a bit…
A focused picture is soo much more descriptive 😀
    Great info vid though! Cheers!

Thanks for watching and for your comments. You are correct, the camera work could have been much better. It is sometimes difficult for me to remember to focus the camera while working on the radio. I’ll try to keep this in mind in future videos.

    All the best,

    John
