Just got back from the Hamilton Hamfest for 2011. I was looking for a CB radio, not that I do CB, but it is one more thing to listen in on and fill the shack with. So I ended up with a Cobra CB, nice and clean, and also a Radio Shack scanner, the Pro-2040. The shack needed a scanner for sure. Got both of these for

A ham radio, also known as Amateur Radio flea market. There were two other areas as large as this plus a large exhibition hall for retail state-of-the-art
new product presentations and currently available items on display and sale.
Companies such as ICOM, Yaesu, MFJ, Diamond etc… were there as I recall.

Held Every labor day weekend, www.shelbyhamfest.org Just a look at our first Shelby Hamfest in Dallas. After 50 years in Cleveland County we had to change venues. The people in Gaston County, NC welcomed us with open arms and we are so thankful. We hope you will join us in 2009.

Nat-Com takes a trip to Timonium, Maryland and the Maryland State Fairgrounds in order to attend the Timonium Hamfest. This amateur radio show is held every spring just outside Baltimore and features all sorts of radio equipment, computers and lots of other things that have noting to do with electronics. Based in two buildings — the Exhibit Hall and Cow Palace, the event is an annual trip for radio enthusiasts across the east coast. Take a look around the 2008 Timonium Hamfest through the view of the Nat-Com camera.

Held every Spring at the Merchandise Mart in Charlotte, North Carolina, this year’s hamfest was no disappointment. There were both commercial dealers and “flea market” sellers, not to mention the Girl Scouts and their famous cookies. Take a trip around this event with National Communications as we attend the Charlotte Hamfest.

The Ham Fest was a real success for the Club. It’s a lot of work to run a Ham Fest, but Karen KI4GOT, John K4JKA, and Ron AB4A and a lot of other fine people had a hand and did a good job. We had more outside tailgaters/venders then last year and I think that we had more people to attend. We had inside venders that were regulars and also some new ones, I would like to thank them for coming. There was everything from tube boat anchors to modern surface mount radios, and also from antennas to zener diodes. People were having fun buying what they needed and what they didn’t need. I bought a new sound card interface from Tigertronics for my exploration into the digital modes on HF, and some PL-259’s, a couple of M connectors and I guess some other small stuff. Hope to see everybody there next year.
