Of course, it goes without saying that this isnt the best method to do mobile HF without permanently securing the radio. The radio is being held in place by rubber grip pad. However, since I do much traveling in rental vehicles, this is the risk I take to enjoy mobile HF. But am mindful of the laws of inertia if I slam the breaks! Thank you Mr. Newton.

HF Mobile in my Ford Transit. Yaesu FT857D and FT8900 Quadbander.

My HF mobile station in my works van. HF radio is a Yaesu FT857D, VHF/UHF is a Yaesu FT8900 with a Mydel Handsfree mic. Antennas are; HF.Sandpiper-20 for 14mhz, (Yaesu ATAS-120A on special occasions) VHF/UHF; Ex pmr 5/8 wave for 2 mtrs and 6 mtrs and am Ex Pmr 1/4 wave for 70cms. Best 73s. Ian G0YAP
