Another Atco’s Collections – The first hamfest of the year 2012, is at Timonium Maryland. It’s the biggest in my area, and maybe in the Mid-Atlantic. See what it looks like.

Very cool. I never knew about this!
Mr. Fisher,
It’s quiet in the house tonight. The wife is in bed and I’m sitting here watching your NearFEST vids. I’m enjoying it a lot, finding them to be both entertaining and educational…a job well done.
Thank you.
Regards,
John
Thanks for letting me know!
On ham radio, it’s first come, first gets, take it or leave it, if you don’t like something on a freq, move on and do something else. NOBODY OWNS A FREQ for whatever, but they get first dibbs if they were there doing their thing. Yes, some try to monopolise a ch, but when in Rome, roam on. Some say, if ya can’t beat them, join them, but some prefer to argue and fight I guess. I wish some folks weren’t such clique snobs, and that they’d have a welcome mat on the air. I like folks to join in!
Some of that old stuff seems a bit high priced, aye? It’s amazing what hams will pay for those relics, but then again, they hold their resale value for a reason. 200$+ for a USA made Drake or Heathkit or even a Swan tube rig. I need to get off my fat ass and make some antenners and get them up there ASAP!
$200.00 for a Drake Tr-4/AC-4/MS-4 is a fair price as long as it works FB. The older tube ham rigs are popular with the older hams as it is sort of a sentimental reason. Im not old, but i just love the look, smell, and sound of tubie rigs!!!!! :-)
Burt, Thank you for the fine videos.
