Great work. Makes me proud to have joined the amateur radio family a year
ago. When all else fails we are there to serve our community- that is what
it is all about. KJ4VRR
This video hit literally close to home for me. The beginning of the video
is the KFC and Shell Station that used to be at Veterans Av and 90 in
Biloxi 1/4 mile from my home. I have worked in the EOC and I personally
have had the pleasure of meeting Connie Rocko and I consider John Moore a
very close friend of mine. Thanks for making this video and showing what
hams did during the storm. If you want more footage I can try to scrounge
up some. 73 de W6CSA
AWESOME!
@W6CSAhamradio Thank you.
This goes to show “When all else fails amateur radio”! – W5AJB
Does anyone have any taped comms from Katrina?
Thanks for the remarks. Please pass the word on to others about this
trailer. I had to put it on hold due to lack of support and funding.
Recently, I have had talks with a studio that may be using the footage.
Thank you for your support. RT
Millions of people dont see this type of service, and i see that sooo many
ham ops. dont go out crying about not getting credit for helping others. I
am really intrested in learning ham radio for situation like this. Great
video. 5 out 5 for me
Good to meet you in the Fox chat room! Great work! This audio works well
with your photos! shane
@chuckeg1000 Thank you sir. Please pass the word around of this video. I
will be posting a link to pictures I took
@SuperTechieJ No. At the time, we didn’t have the capability for that.
” This was recorded as the events happened”, it it possible to record
things as they did not happen? I was in Biloxi in 1963, it was thre most
hateful place I ever lived in.
Did you use any ATV (HAM TV) service for this situation?
