Homemade satellite radio amateur and weather tracking antenna. Satellite antenna uses a PC with the Satcom application to track satellites as they pass. System took about 7 months to build and was made totally from discrete parts and supplies. Frame was welded from 1″ raw steel tube stock.

Check out the project I have been working on. You might find it interesting or completely inane. I enjoyed building it, however.
what a cool project! are you going to offer the instructions or a kit for others who want to build this?
super
It’s official. I have antenna envy. Call a doctor!
Are you going to post instructions?
Very nice. Could use some damping.
Thanks everyone. I plan to write more details and have a better description of the construction on my website. When I create the page, it will be posted here. The details will not be down to the code level, only a top level with more detailed pictures and perhaps a description of the algorithms used. But it may give whoever is interested a head start on doing their own.
Interesting wold love to see in person, looking into my tech class license soon
Very nice. Will you share the project ? Tks PU5HLU.
