Dude, get a Flex 3000 or 5000, what ever you can afford. You won’t need all
the audio stuff and they truly have the best audio quality. Just a
suggestion.
Fantastic station Larry! I truly enjoy watching your videos! Can you tell
me what brand and model EQ you are using above the Technical Pro amp?
THANKS! 73’s KC9NKU
Just great Larry. You have given me a couple of ideas from your efforts.
Thanks for sharing. 73 Ken KD0PSK
magnificent!!!!! thats a dream shack to me. 73,KB3YJO
@edro31111 thanks!
:O
@KB1PTH I run line out signals from each receiver through a mixer, then to
the PA amp. You could also just run signals right to the PA but I use
external mixer since I have more signals than the PA has inputs. The PA has
70 volt line out, this line runs to 70 volt line transformers on each
speaker in different rooms etc and there is a volume control on each
speaker, this allows for several speakers without loading the 8 ohm output.
The PA has a master volume.
Very nice shack great job 🙂 73’s A61II
@wawmjansens2 that sounds great, it is a fun and useful hobby and there are
so many different aspects to it, so many different things you can get
involved with or not, something for everyone. I have been a ham since age
13 in 1977 and it has been a big part of my life ever since then!
Beautiful setup.
@RadioHamGuy oh yes from what I’ve been exposed to as far as HAM Radio
goes, I find it really interesting as to the number of ppl I hear from
listening on the scanner,as well as a few really great contacts and friends
made along the way from Extras to newbies to CB’ers occasionally, both in
face to face and over the air. Yea I’m shocked some HAMS will use GMRS so
yeah but hey it’s all that ever expanding network of contacts & people that
make it so much fun
I must say, you’re on the right track with your config! 73, Kent
Thanks for the awesome vid 73’s to ya
i like the diagonal rack, looks really ergonomic
Hello. Thanks for share the preciosity with us. Looks beautiful.
Congratulations! Do you have something for sale? Greetings from azores
Islands, the center of the world!!!
Mostly money, and taking the tests.
Do you still have the plans for your radio desk
Yes, the desk does move out from the wall very easily. It is on wheels.
Also the desk folds down so if I would have to move it out of the room
through a doorway, it would fit ok.
That is great, you worked at Heil Sound in the 70’s, very interesting.
Thanks for leaving a comment. I talk to Bob on the radio and email once in
a while and watch Ham Nation etc, have a bunch of his mics around here and
they all work great. Always changing the setup around here so made a few
more changes since this video even, lol. I need to do a new video again I
guess with the latest upgrades. Keeps getting better but that is part of
the fun I guess on trying to improve things.
@RadioHamGuy oh yes the forever eternal battle of cables and equipment lol
it never ceases to amaze me what you gotta do to make the equipment play
nice. 🙂 I’m just pretty much getting a feeling for HAM Radio and I’m
definitely reviewing the Tech and General Class licenses for when I get
training in CERT I’ll probably look into ARES as well
Love that set up! 73,a kf5uem
I’d love to know how you worked out all the wiring for this console, Larry.
Must be a real “rat’s nest” back there. Did you draw out a schematic to
help work out the big hookup? Would love to see the back of the console!
Fabulous video. Thanks mate. Rob VK3BVW
Cb???????
Thats a very nice setup!
That’s got to be one of the most beautiful op consoles I’ve seen, and I’ve
seen lots. VERY nice job indeed. Thanks for posting.
