   Gary, With digital radios, hams should be able to send pictures and videos
   as easily as they now “send” voice. So I totally agree with your Data
   Stream concept. Also like the education on technical subjects provided by
   your videos. Looking forward to the next one on SDR.

   I considered the Flex 5000 with UHF/VHF upgrade board my “dream radio” but
   now the 6700 comes along and trumps the former king. If I plopped down
   $8500 for a radio system I would expect it to do 2m/70cm or at least have a
   upgrade option to do those like the 5000 did at one time. From what I can
   tell that UHF/VHF upgrade board is no longer being sold. I would also like
   to see a DSTAR upgrade on this rig but am not holding my breath. (I know
   it’s cheaper than some HF/6m rigs but still)

   I am a 21yo and the idea of a graphical interface brought this whole thing
   to my attention, whilst listening to this I purchased some el cheapo tv
   receivers that will allow me to start receiving for under $20
