I received my DHAP today (3/31/14) having placed the order on 2/24/14. Hardened Power let me know upon order of a 2 to 3 week production. At the 3 week point, I was told that parts were on back order (chargers). Upon delivery, I was able to get it up and running quickly. The quality of the build is poor. Scratches and scuffs all over the unit from manufacturing. Stripped cover screw bolt, uneven size and fit of cover and front and rear bulkheads. I’ve emailed the company today and await their response. As Thomas indicated, beware of quality issues and long delays with this unit.
After seeing Tommy’s review on AmateurLogic on the DHAP I felt that I had to have one. SO ordered it and waited 3 weeks before I email the company requesting an update on my order, after a couple days I resent the email and sent a message of their facebook page. Still no responds, I leave 2 more massages on the website and you guess no response. so I call them Julie told me the order will be shipped the next Monday and 2 more weeks of waiting I called again and she said it would be mail on the next wed. that would of been Feb 26. I finally got a notice from paypal the it was shipped on March 7, but according to USPS they didn’t receive it until March 11. I finally received it on March 14th. I was ready to hook it up. after installing the dvap the program said it couldn’t find it. I connected the dvap to the usb hub from the front port and its works. I sent another message on the website and now I see how long it takes them to respond and how are they going to take care of it. Not very happy with this company buyer beware, they need to work on the costumer service and quality control.
Thanks for this video. I ordered one of these units in preproduction. Have
been using it for several weeks. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
It is extremely well made. Expecting my small monitor and wireless keyboard
tomorrow.
Your video doesn’t actually say what a dhap is. Of course, I figured it
out at the end. Looks cool.
Hi Greg, is that an usb powered hub?
Great video from a customer on initial setup of the DHAP Access Point….
