The K7RA Solar Update
This past week, there was a decline in the solar and geomagnetic indices: The average daily sunspot number dropped nearly 21 points to 57.7, while the average daily solar flux softened by 4.7 points to 100.9 and the average daily planetary A index declined 6.4 points to 5.1. This isn’t much of a change, but geomagnetic activity was low already, and this is even lower.

One of the best single serving beverage ideas I have seen in a long time. These Starbucks Discoveries lattes come in a variety of flavors and sell for about at convenience stores. They come with a foil lid under a plastic lid, which allows you to insert a collapsible straw through both layers and not make a mess. This is by far the best flavor–I love this. I wish they sold it in the States.

Yaesu FT-100D with DSP !!!
The Yaesu FT-100D built on this success of the widely acclaimed FT-100, adding the convenience of factory installed modules for the ham on the go. Australian Amateurs May Lose 2300 – 2302 MHz
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has proposed changes to spectrum usage in the 2300 to 2302 MHz band that will make it off limits to Australian amateurs. The ACMA wants to re-allocate the spectrum to LTE (Long-Term Evolution) wireless data systems, the kind popularly used for mobile broadband applications. It should be noted that the tower is so balanced that initially I have to assist it by pulling at the bottom of it to start in going over. Additionally, there is so little weight against the cables that I have to be sure to keep the cable tracking in the pulleys until there is sufficient weight to keep them in the tracks. When I raise it the wench assumes greater torque at a point where the ratcheting mechanism finally begins to engage so that I have to adjust the ratchet trigger to the proper setting. The whole process is weightless and easy to do for the user.
