Nice B I didn’t know thant you uploaded this!
ya I love my tower glad you liked it B
Good tower…
The local county emergency group lent us their new and custom built 100′ aluma tower for field day this year. It is a trailered tip-over crank-up powered by a built in winch that has rackspace for every radio used in the county system as well as amateur radio equipment.
The feed lines, when collapsed reside on a spool at the back of the triler. This sweet beast is designed so that a 3/4 ton truck can pull it. Judging by how many people took them, there will be pictures someplace I’m sure.
How high is it?
This particular one is 30ft. There are larger models.
Yeah. how much does it cost. Oh, 5 THOUSAND dollars! Are you kidding me. And it’s less than 50 feet?
actually, he only wanted $2,000. $5k was the price new. But just for argument’s sake, we now have one of these, and paid significantly less. It was under $1,000, and over 30ft. So basically, this guy was simply trying to pay for his indoor spot at Dayton by overpricing the tower. And nobody bought it.
man that thing is the cats meeowwww
Damn you guys are nurdos. And I guess the shininess of the metal is good for enticing the nurdos among you of the African/Latino persuasion, hahah! Maybe the next tower idea will include some shiny twirly wheel like things the wind can twirl so you guys can oo-aa about that.
If they did, I’m sure you’d be back to make yet another worthless remark. There are plenty of other videos to see on YouTube. If this one doesn’t turn your crank, (pun intended), then don’t watch it. And don’t comment on it, either.
I’d buy one for $900.00 I can only go to 50′ total where i am and it would be very nice to know i could lower it in 5min.
I have a “Glenn Martin” five foot aluminum tower topside. Been up since 1998. Holds a TR-44 rotor, thrust bearing, 20 foot mast w/a 6 meter, 3 el beam at the top, and an MC2 antenna midway. No problems with aluminum. Less weight & no rust!
