The Arrow Antenna OSJ 146/440 J-Pole is an inexpensive dual-band antenna that has been working wonders with my hand-held Yaesu FT-60R as well as my mobile Yaesu FT-5100 that I use as a base station.

I have two of these J pole antennas like this….they are GREAT on both bands…solidly built. Have had them up for 5 years…
Very cool John . . . and very timely as I am putting the same antenna up on our chimney later this month. 73!
I think its time for grasshopper to learn how to make coax jumpers lol… buy a bulk 500ft box and make custom jumpers for every room of the house.. 🙂
btw I need to do a review on my soldering station.. I got a aoyue 937 which is a hako rip off.. amazon has them for 60.00 awesome little station for the price..
Hope you show it off after it’s installed. It looks like a nice antenna. I might try making a 2 meter j-pole.
I have this same antenna. Great price and great performance. I hit repeaters 50-60 miles away here in the hilly terrain of Connecticut. That is with my HT at a max of 5watts….usually can do it with less.
@daddyoca69 I’d be interested in seeing a review video of that soldering station if you are able to do one. I’d like to get a soldering station myself, but don’t have a lot of extra cash to spend. A value set such as the one you describe intrigues me. I’d appreciate any feedback you could offer on your experience with it. Cheers!
