Nice bit of kit you’ve got there. Really helpful video. Thanks for putting it together.

Excellent video Peter. Great tips. Hopefully I’ll be doing some portable QRP operation in the near future, so I’ll keep this video in mind.

Good video Peter as it gives people like me ideas for when the time comes to do portable field transmissions.
Hi Peter! I really love your videos! Keep up the good job! The reason for the longer wire (of the split headphone) is to pass the wire of one of the phones behind your neck … it tooks me year to find this out! (you probably knew that hihi!)

Thanks Huelbe - I didn’t know that and it’s taken me well over a year to find out!
YOU’RE A GENIUS QRP THINGS¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

G’day Peter,
Been watching your videos the last couple of days after VK2IG put me on to them. They’ve been fantastic and I look forward to viewing more.
Quick question for you on this video though. You use a 20m wire and squid pole for your end fed antenna. But a squid pole at most is probably 9m, so what method have you used to setup the wire on the squid pole? Helically wound? or something else?
I look forward to doing something similar, so thanks in advance.
Ian – VK1HOW
Hi Ian – glad you liked the video. All I did was use the squid pole as a support – threaded the wire through the loop at the end and tied it off on a fence.
Great stuff Peter … well done!
Fantastic video, Peter; well presented and very informative. 73 from Tracy VE3TWM
Hi Peter, we always look forward to the next instalment
I was inspired to try the Magloops and Bi-square aerial after your vids, with good results
