Im thinking more and more on making a generic production model for Hams and
First Responders where you already have a mobile radio and just buy the Kit
    less the radio.

I have seen many deals like this. I have been a ham for 14 years and own
repeaters and portiable repeaters… you did a great job of putting it
    together..73’s – KG4ECU

wow thats really impressive! I like the idea completely! I am going to look
into coverting my spare radio into something like this. If I run into any
problems I will let you know.

Great job. Awesome work. I think I’ll try the same except go with an AC to
12-15DC battery charger and a 12V drycell battery.

Really nice build. How long did it take to build? Any sites where I could
find ideas for a backpack build? Also, we’re holding a special tribute for
the HAM radio operators of the Titanic at our museums on April 9 & 10.

Awesome idea! I’m jealous I do not already have one of these. I have a
newer model Tundra and I HATE the idea of mounting things permanently into
new paneling. I hope to be able to assemble something like this. Thanks! 73

nice job on that. I’d love to build something similar but on HF. I have an
IC-703+ that I was thinking of doing this to. All you need to do is get
yourself a couple of 20 watt solar panels that would fit in the box and
    then you’d really be portable.
