@cbradiomagazine Oh,my friend. I forget speak my name. I call Dietrich and my mail is: a.mitsukki@yahoo.com.br. Congratulations of Brazil !
lmfao @ RF RAIN
do you have to power up the radio to program it from a computer? also how much is this CD and usb cable, honestly i could see these redneck cb shops charging way too much for the cable and cd. i remember when the 2950 came out and the shops raping you in price for the little jumpers
@JettaJ1 – You do have to power up the radio to do the programming (please see the programming instruction link posted on my website).
The cable shouldn’t cost more than $25 at max, if they are charging you more than that just walk away and find someplace else to buy it.
I have some questions that might interest some of the dxers before taking the plunge….Is it able to scan/tune in 5Khz steps ?
When the 10khz button is activated does the radio jump 10khz or does the radio automaticaly know where the alpha channels are and fills them in for you like the President George and Nordland 01-600A ?
@Strawberrycream69 – before taking the plunge you may want to read my written review at my website. It should answer your questions, and as for the alpha channels since the radio is programmable you can set it up to automatically include them or exclude them.
Cant ever see a 10 meter user buying of of these, as they are not actually 10 meter radios, they are export models made for the intention of converting to use on 11 meters..
10 meter band is a graveyard i think they make them for the sole intention of dodging fcc requirements..
I.e as far as the goverment is concerned they are being bought by HAMS, but the makers of these are aiming them at the 11 meter market.
It’s illegal to convert a 10 meter to 11 meter:)
or convert a ham to use 11 meters
@TheDiddlysquat When you hear the Super bowl coming in really strong then go to USB above 28.300 -10 meter- and you will see that it is far far from dead!
And no im not a ham.
BEWARE:
Do not buy this radio from DX city you will have nothing but trouble with the programing disk and its features…Seems J-Tronicx Distributaing is providing copies of the Hanover BR9000 and labeling them Alpha 10 max…Even though they are similar radios the programing does not work…Also when you activate the extended freq coverage it clears all 10 meter freq and it they can not be recovered.
I’m 21 minutes into the video, where’s the TALKBACK?
As a licensed radio amateur, this is a interesting 10mtr set. We can buy this transceiver now in the Netherlands. Can you tell me how good the receiver in practise is?
hi can you do a video of how the echo sounds like on the alpha 10 max radio
Good radio. I have one. In the UK they are branded as AnyTone AT-5555. If you change the IRF520’s for IRF640N you can do much more power.
I’m diggin’ this radio. Where can I buy one??
@JasonDolan ma……………….
great radio got one,good money to,,,26-tm-132.88s.
@NowLifeStarts e-bay mate,
@222kontiki e.bay
wts is an RF RAIN ? nice spelling mistake lmfao
RF-RAIN ME SPEEK CHINSE… PMSL ROTFLMAO… Well not that funny but sure to go down in history, something to tell the grandkids about in years to come, unless i end up fighting in a war or something instead
I have a Uniden pro640e as well. This radio looks like one of those European radios.”Maas” how much for one of these? “Canadian”
Re computer Programming this radio. Can i add 12M band [24MHz].
So ive got 12M,11M,10M on this radio please?
If SO im buying one,YES im an amateur but i LOVE CB as well.
Cheers Rod
@rredbeak No, it covers down to 25.605mhz and that is as low as it goes, it can go up as far as 30.115khz…
Would have been better designed as a 10-12 meter radio… starting at say 24.8mhz and ending at 29.7mhz.
I have the anytone and also have a galaxy pluto.. the pluto came as standard 25.6-28.305 but a simple mod with a single wire allows 24.6-29.7mhz.
Not sure if the anytone/mass can be widebanded out… it would make it a much more versatile radio of it could be
Hi-cut is just a tone control to cut out high frequencies, due to the bassy sound on these rigs it would have been a much better idea to have fitted a bass cut feature, or just a variable tone control.
I changed the internal speaker to a 2 inch mid range driver to cut the bass and add some clarity to the audio. Point out that i live in uk where fm in the only legal mode you can use
@26highstreet The radio cannot tune through the whole band via the clarifier, it can only tune 20kc. it has a single vco so does not have continuous tuning. put it on say 27.000mhz and you can tune down to 26.990 and up to 27.010.
