How to use an S.W.R meter

   Are you using that cb as a home base station? If so I would put a bolt in
   one of the mounting holes with an eyelet crimp attached to a wire and run
   that wire to a piece of copper stake of tube and shove that into the ground
   as far as you can get it. Did that to the home station I set up for my dad
   at his house sitting on a 50ft pole and were getting about 15 miles out of
   it. Just my 2 cents.
