Short video of heavy winds that came through on Thursday, June 22nd. The storms produced winds in some areas clocking 110 MPH and did extensive damage throughout the entire county. The radio you hear is a HAM Radio.

I was in this storm. It’s Mansfield, Ohio, right? I have some damage video. It was intense!
That is correct, June 22nd storm that hit us. I also have footage of a wallcloud that was up just west of Shiloh, it eventually formed a funnel cloud and I believe a tornado later on. That footage was from May 25th of the Wallcloud
who’s your net control there?
I’m not too familiar with where Ohio’s cities are at, but when you said Shiloh, this wasn’t anywhere near Trotwood, where they hold the Dayton Hamvention, is it? This would have been hell on earth if that storm would have taken place during that weekend!
Where exactly did you take this footage? I was stuck on Lexington Ave at Cook without a camera when the gust front hit. Was wishing I had it though. Kid’s pools and garbage cans flying around.
….I sure hope that comment was not aimed at me. Because, obviously, there is none of that in this video. Nor do I run around, break the law, or act like I have authority while acting as skywarn.
Kind of a strange….random comment. But what ever dude.
Well, first of all. I do not use amber lights, and personally, I feel that Skywarn or Stormspotters have absolutely no reason to use them unless it is on heavy equipment such as mobile radar.
Do whackers run around? Most certainly, but let me remind you that there are whackers everywhere. I learned that from Volunteer FF.
The comment you made was originally off the wall and worded in a fashion in which it was confusing to tell if it was aimed at me or not. But, it’s cool. I understand now.
And just to add lastly, the skywarn program we have here locally is comprised of good members. Yes. We do have some people who could be dubbed as whackers. But honestly, what area does NOT have whackers? :D
nice storm, to bad i live in an area with mountains and deserts, all we get is cold snow less winters and hot as fuck summers
