I read the article too. I really liked the idea. I have a 706 and it gave me some inspiration to make a mobile rig with it. Maybe some more footage of the setup?!
I spoke to Andy last night & we are going to film some more of the trolley system in the very near future. Also the LDG 100 is a very good ATU. I will get Andy to put a few words together about it.
This is a great setup you have here !
Is this a ferrite ring around the mike cable ?
Am i seeing right, you have a kind of leather soft case around your IC706 ?
Hi Andy, G0FTD
I’m trawling through vids on QRP and think to myself… I know those tones!
Well at least I know what you look like after all this time!
All the best, great vid and very well presented!

Haha.. awesome video. The article I read it in was practical wireless. Good contact and great signals.

Pretty neat set up!! Good job!!
That’s what I call a nice setup and a very nice QSO indeed!
can you use just a simple silver rod half wave or 5/8th wave with an atu to do all the amateur bands?!
