You lost me when you were coding that stuff in! I would like someone to code in a barcode that stores all that information, and you can just scan it in from the code book straight into the receiver. Must be possible? Or do those frequencies change too often?

Great video. I hate programming my VX-5R. Especially when I haven’t picked it up for awhile. The manual is an unfortunate must.

I am not in memory mode….I put in the code and push FW. It then wants a lable to place the frequency in memory. I can’t get it to put in PL tones at all. ???

Following the sequence that you performed I can only save a frequency to memory (without PL tones). Pressing FW + SQ TYP gives me a memory channel to save to. Not a tone selection. ?? I Only managed to get it to the “TONE” screen once and then it bounces back into memory save. Holy crap this is a pain. Is it any easier with the USB cable and software??
