   You Should Make A Tutorial On Thee RadioShack pro 106.. Cuz Your Cam Is Clear.. I Just Got My pro 106, But Itz Really Hard 2 Program.. Not Like The PRO 96.. I Hate The Fact That I Cant Choose The Channel I Wish To Program.. Dont Let Me Jump To Channel 11 For EXAMPLE To Channel 111 🙁 Cant Get My LAPD FREQUENCIES RUNNING RIGHT 🙁

   I don’t turn on the OPP talkgroups much. I find listening to traffic stop after traffic stop annoying. I monitor all MOH/EMS hospital patching and Fire as well as FRS in service search. You can pick up some interesting conversations on FRS as well. I had an awesome time scanning the aircraft at the CIA or Canadian International Airshow this fall. I appreciate how most of the GTA is analog though and non encrypted unlike the OPP which is P25…

   Oh and also I set system hold on conventional for 1 second and 2 seconds on trunked groups or sites and a delay of 5-10 seconds per system. Also when programming with internet or computer interface the default hold time is zero seconds so the sites never have a chance to “lock on” and no one wants to miss the next transmission so delay time of at least 5 seconds is ideal… HAPPY SCANNING!!! 🙂

    makes 2 of us with the Uniden BC95XLT I just bought the Diamond RH77CA antenna for it a couple of weeks ago and I noticed a big difference and now I am picking up more frequencies and some of the other ones I picked that were kinda fuzzy come in crystal clear now. I love that scanner.

    Very nice scanner collection. I have a PSR-600, and I’m gonna pick up a BCD996xt within the next 6-months to go with it. I love the display on the 996 vs. my PSR-600. Although my PSR-600 works wonderfully, I’d like to have a 996xt just for true comparison (for my own use). Either way I’ll keep both scanners though 🙂

    Finally bought my 996xt and boy do I love it. Excellent quality but being used to a PSR-600 it’s taking a little time to keep the two brands separated in my mind when learning the Uniden 🙂

    This is one unbelievable scanner though (996xt). However, if you are not familiar with trunking concepts this could be a major FUBAR purchase. I can see where a lot of folks would be inclined to just give up, sell/return it, and buy the Home Patrol model for it’s simplicity.

    Love this thing though 🙂

    Hi, I have a few questions for the bcd996t. First off, where does the volume come out? Can you place the scanner on a desktop without that bracket underneath it? Also, how good is the antenna that it comes with? Would you recommend an external one?
