    Hey Simon, I notice you have the noise level higher when you have your
    engine running, I also have the same using my yaesu FT857D but bit
    difficult not to have the engine running when its as cold as it! Nice net

    Ey up Dave, yeah it creates a bit of QRN but only on 80M. A much quieter
    band when the diesel weasel is no longer running. I don’t like TXing too
    long in case I run the battery down so usually put up with it. 80M = S-3-5
    of noise and S-0 switched off. Catch you soon on one of the bands and Good
    DX for 2009. Have a good un!
