The tubes are a common type so I checked them all with my tube tester, replaced one bad one (a 6BE6 converter) turned it on and it worked but there is a hum. The main filter capacitor will be bypassed with a 22uF 400v capacitor. After receiving emails from guys who are not into installing towers, I must say — YES that I do have 2 Gin Poles , I have been installing towers for yearssssss. I have the physical strength and a lot of learnt techniques for doing an installation this way …… ROHN 25G sections are very light for me to manage this way by myself ……… I have installed a 50ft and a 40ft tower with this method.. If you must try this , practice on the ground with a 10ft section to get used to the sections weight .
