Set up in the camper in the back yard. I knew by vertical Hustler was not
hearing – finally found out why. The coax connection was broken off of the
base of the antenna, NADA! I fixed up the end of the coax and just as I was
about to connect it to the antenna, it started RAINING! Not a good idea to
mess with antennas when there’s lightening. I hope is passes soon. I have a
20m wire that is working good, and I hear some field day, but it isn’t like
the old days for activity.
John, great idea to show the activities of a Ham club in action with all
modes of operations. For those interested with questions about amateur
radio this is a real insight to an important side of what Ham is all about.
And for us that didn’t get a chance to get out in the field ( I for one did
monitor the 40 and 80 bands to catch some of the action ) it gave a chance
to enjoy the fun. As always, great video and 73 mate. KD8SKG
