Cuba’s Ministry of Communications is reported to have made available to its radio amateurs a 12 kHz segment of 60 meter spectrum, as opposed to a channelized plan as the US and other countries have done. Access is not immediate. Hams in Cuba must obtain approval and a license modification. Access to 5418 to 5430 kHz will be on a secondary basis, with emphasis on its use during emergencies.

A COLLECTION OF MURA SWR/ANTENNA TUNER METERS VINTAGE NEW OLD STOCK. ———— VERY RARE ————-

The making of my single element Delta Loop antenna. Designed for 11m but can be used on 10 which is what I built it for originally but it works on 20m and even down to 80m although obviously a good antenna tuner is required. Ideal for short spaces. I was going to build this for 20m but the length of the rods would have made it dearer than I wanted to pay. This project was to come in under budget at £25. This is my new temporary QTH at Tampere (south-west Finland). I am testing a mobile whip that’s on the window cell. The square-shaped magnetic mount fits like a glove and holds like glue. 20m/10m/2m/70cm/23cm all on the same antenna. I was suprised to hear strong signals on 20 meters, the whip is only 1m long! So apartment dwellers, use your window cells!

In addition, the PSC decided not to change the process by…

In response to requests for clarification from the ARRL, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has confirmed that it has no objection to the use of a broader range of data emissions by amateurs on the five 5 MHz frequencies on 60 meters. ARRL’s original understanding was that the NTIA preferred that the use of 2K80J2D emission be limited to Pactor III. The NTIA n…
