Random snapshots from my day at this year’s Hamvention in Dayton OH.

With all of the pictures I was taking that day, I never really paid attention to if anyone was *noticing* me taking pictures. *laff* Apparently these two knew. 🙂 I didn’t even know that they knew until I got home and dumped the camera… I was too concerned with just taking enough shots so that I know I’d end up with some good pictures – and I didn’t even notice the two perfect smiling poses that I was capturing. 😎

SchmartBoard, the developer of a new technology that has significantly simplified the creation of electronic circuits for hobbyists, education and industry, has signed up to exhibit at the May 2007 Hamvention in Dayton, Ohio.

SchmartBoard|ez prototyping boards allow virtually anyone to hand solder surface mount components easily, quickly and flawlessly. Prior to the development of this technology in late 2005, few people had the dexterity to hand solder surface mount components with pitches as tiny as 0.4mm.

“People can not believe how easy it is to hand solder surface mount components with our product unless they try it for themselves,” said Neal Greenberg, SchmartBoard’s vice president of sales & marketing. “After receiving many e-mails and having conversations with radio enthusiasts who have used, and been very happy with, SchmartBoard, we decided to invest more time and resources to make sure this important niche is aware of the benefits SchmartBoard can offer.”

SchmartBoard will be at booth 218 at the show, which takes place at the Hara Area in Trotwood, Ohio. Visitors to the SchmartBoard booth will be able to try their hand at soldering a surface mount component using SchmartBoards “ez” technology. They will also receive the souvenir board that is also a key ring. SchmartBoard will also have a contest for attendees to win SchmartBoards.

About SchmartBoard (http://www.schmartboard.com)

SchmartBoardTM is committed to helping engineers, students and hobbyists develop electronic circuits faster, easier, and less expensively than previously possible. SchmartBoard’s patent pending Electronic Circuit Building Blocks makes this possible. SchmartBoard’s “EZ” Technology makes the soldering of surface mount components accessible to virtually anyone.

This week, Surfin’ recalls all the friendly faces at the Dayton Hamvention®.

Hamvention Sunday saw the beginning of the exodus from Hara Arena, but for those who remained, there was still a lot to see.

Of course, one of the major attractions was the traditional “last minute bargain.” There were quite a few of these to be had in the fleamarket, but Sunday sales were prominent indoors as well. Early feedback from several vendors indicated that Hamvention 2013 was a success…
