i need a new bag soon, might look at getting one like yours? it looks good
🙂 if you cant fing out why you lose power after a few seconds when keying
up try a small 12 battery like mile, they are quite a bit better and more
amps than the AA’s and if you want to box out the bag have a look at my
play list for my radio go bag, i only put 2 vids up of it but it might give
you some ideas? catch you on air some time 😀 and keep up the good work
    dude 😀

I’ve watched the videos of your go-bag, thats where I got the idea for this
from. 🙂 I bought it off ebay for £31 from memory, they come up reasonably
often so I’d keep an eye out for them. Hopefully catch you next Sunday.

Hi Matt, nice idea! May be something like a superstar 6900 would fit. Its a
bit of a larger radio but it can check SWR and alerts if dc power is low,
and variable power so no amplifier needed.

I hadn’t thought of that, great idea. I was going to use a wooden frame and
screw the various components in, but I’ll look into getting some foam and
seeing how it works out. Thanks

Hey Matt, Good job on getting the CTX callsign!! Just a thought for your
bergen, you could use some closed cell foam to pack around the components,
it would hold it all tight, and cushion any impact from walking. I like the
idea of creating a portable man pack that you can use on the move. I am in
the process of something similar myself! Keep up the good work!!
