Yes,it’s official! As of yesterday,I am now a part of the National Weather Service’s Skywarn Storm Spotters program. Enjoy the video!

    yup. The NWS in Spokane told me that. I turn 15 tomorrow and I plan to be a storm spotter within a few weeks.

    @NWgeekgirl Of course! And just like me, i loved weather since i was 8, and i’m 14 now, and i still love weather. 🙂

    Official Spotter numbers will be given to anyone who attends a training and
    is at least 16 years of age or older. People younger than 16 who desire a
    spotter number, and who can present special circumstances will be evaluated
    on a case-by-case basis.
