QSO with G3ZPD whilst I was at Woldingham Ridge Dec 08. Antenna was a CA-UHV vertical.

    Nice video on the IC-7000, probably the best one I’ve seen. How do you like the rig? I’m thinking about picking one up for a backup rig. I thought it would be great because it has everything in one box. I’m currently running a Yaesu FT-2000. 73, Dave

    Like the idea of the mobile phone holder to hold the front of your radio I also use one its perfect for front off radios. Nice video audio is very good and clear sounds well that icom.

    The alc doesn’t either!!!

    Verticals are never too good for inter-G, you’d probably get better signal reports from DX stations, but the 7000 is a thing of beauty, ain’t it? Icom should pay you a commission, your video’s helped sell me one.

    I think you are over driving the ALC you need to turn the microphone gain down so the ALC is only half way on the scale it will make the audio sound much better just an observation cheers John
