After fitting a touch screen panel to my PC it only seemed right to try driving my Icom IC-7400 with it via HRD – think I need bigger buttons or smaller fingers though!! It seems a very intuitive way to drive the radio.

Heck of a lot of work to change bands.
I can control all the functions of the radio with Ham Radio Deluxe as well as use all the digital modes available.

is it possible to assign user defined Buttons with HRD?
i dont like to use submenus for such easy tasks like changing modes
The screen is a very old 17 inch LCD with an add on touch screen, the mic is actually made by Yoga and cost about £22 – the audio quality is great on it though. I think HRD allows you to program custom buttons.
