@USNERDOC Cool.. I live about 60 miles outside of Vegas in Pahrump.. but its worth the trip into town to go there. Its hard as heck to find the place btw.. so make sure you get a good map or have a GPS with you when you are going there. Its kind of in an industrial area and you would not think a ham store would be there 🙂

HRO is a great place with great people. I remember going there with my Dad. They always answered every one of my questions even though I was just a kid. They were obviously people who loved the hobby and enjoyed helping people.

Looking forward to seeing your video for ham radio beginners. It is an area that interests me, but not sure how to get started.

HRO is awesome and I am very grateful to have one local to me! I bought my first HT there a few weeks ago, a VX-7R, and it is great! I’m trying to make at least one contact a week and check in on my local ARES net on Sunday mornings as well. Joining a HAM club and building an antennae rig (jpole or yagi) are next on the list! Looking forward to your HAM video too! Thanks, Doc!
