Just RXing to GB3VT VHF Repeater, The following is took from “QRZ.COM” GB3VT, RV58, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. GB3VT is a 2 metre repeater located at 273 metres, 887 feet above sea level, QRA Locator IO83WA, in the City of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, United Kingdom. The GB3VT repeater first became operational from its original site in December 1980 and has now been operational from its present site since 1995 and is co-sited with two other repeaters: GB3ST on 70cm and GB3SE on 23cm. GB3VT transmits on 145.725 MHz and receives on 145.125 MHz. Both the receiver and transmitter use full decode and encode Continuous Tone Carrier Squelch System at a frequency of 103.5 Hz. The Transmitter, Receiver and Repeater Control Logic are all-purpose designed and homebuilt, the timeout is currently set at 3 Minutes. The repeater also makes use of a home built 8 Cavity Duplexer, and the repeater delivers a total of 25 watts effective radiated power from a single colinear type of aerial. To fully access the repeater it has always been a requirement of the station wishing to access, to transmit 3 to 4 seconds of good audio of at least plus and minus 1 kHz deviation. Stations using less than the required minimum deviation will fail to access. In line with the now adopted United Kingdom 2 metre 12.5 kHz channel spacing, the repeater receiver has 12.5 kHz Intermediate Frequency Crystal Filters fitted and the transmitter peak deviation has also been reduced accordingly.
